Dialogue Animation

For this I had another videos dialogue in mind but when I wasn't able to get ahold of it I switched to another. However I'm not all unhappy with what I decided to use in the end. I was actually rather excited to animate it. Though in that since the clip was so long I ran out of time and I was barely able to animate any of it. I am happy with the motion I was able to capture. I've found that it gets a little easier the more you draw it.

After Affects Music Kinetic Typography

I was actually really looking forward to this project. I've always enjoyed imagining up music videos for my favorite songs. Sadly I lost a lot of time to do this but in the end I was able to do a good bit of what i wanted to do. Using Won't Let Go by Konac, I drew up a few things and used some After Affects shapes to make my video.

Bouncing Ball in After Affects

In doing this project I found that using after effects made it surprisingly easy. I did come across a few difficulties but in the end I found that I was able to do what I wanted to do relatively easy. Although I do wish that I had added more considering what you can do with After Affects.

Pumpkin Weight

Again I find myself running out of time in making this. I wasn't able to add much detail but I was able to get the motion to a point where I was happy with it. Then I had to work on the pumpkin, this is when I figured out that I should have drawn it with the body. Luckily I did get the pumpkin too look like a solid object rather then a morphing one.

Walk Cycle

When I started on this project I had been hoping to do a lot but as time went on I realized just how time consuming drawing all the frames is. I also had a lot of trouble making sure that everything stayed the same size all throughout the walkcycle. Luckily I was able to get a good structure to work off of and then I was able to add frames that made the animation itself look smoother and more natural.

Alien Rotoscope

For the rotoscope project I wanted to use a scene from one of my favorite movies and considering the approaching spooky season I decided that Alien was perfect for it.  I chose one of its most famous scenes and got started.

At first I was gonna do more but when I found out how time consuming it was I settled on a smaller chunk of the scene. I decided to focus on more of the prominent characters rather then the ones in the back. In the end I was quite happy with what I was able to rotoscope.

Spooky Stop motion

Now in the end I wasn't totally pleased with this one but I am somewhat happy that it went the way I was hoping. For this project I designed a charterer and wanted to have him moving around before popping up for a surprise. I was able to do this, though some motions in it didn't look the way I wanted them too.

However I was still able to get him to move around.
I had drawn quite a few parts so I could get a number of poses. This did make it harder but at the same time it was nice to have the freedom to contort the figure.
